How the Driving License Eye Test Works in Qatar

1. Take the test at an MOI-approved optical. Any location above. Bring your QID. Wear your glasses or contact lenses if you use them. About ten minutes.

2. The result goes to the MOI system. Approved opticals upload it. Ask for a printed certificate as well and keep it.

3. Finish on Metrash2 or MOI e-services. For a renewal: Metrash2, Traffic, Driving License, submit, pay, choose QPost delivery or collection. Delivery takes about a week.

4. Or go in person. The Traffic Department at Madinat Khalifa issues renewals the same day.

First-time licences and licence exchanges still go through the Traffic Department or a driving school, with the eye test certificate as one of the required documents alongside your QID, photos and sponsor NOC. If you need glasses to drive, wear them in your photos.
